It was in one word - supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! 64 SDL power users and colleagues from 10 countries met at the ETUG (European Trados User Group) in Düsseldorf and talked about (almost) nothing but SDL tools, apps, workflows, road maps, use cases and innovations for two days.
On 11 April 2018 Microsoft Dublin hosted the TAUS* QE Summit for the 6th time and Vincent Gadani was our perfect host. The day was full and very energetic with plenty of subjects touching not only on quality but also on more general, visionary subjects. We had four main topics with panels throughout the day and a break-out session at the end. The break-out session was intended for the identification of items/issues for TAUS to work on until the next meeting, or "homework", as Jaap van der Meer called it. In this blog I'd like to share my most important takeaways with you.
The annual ETUG conference (short for European SDL Trados User Group) is taking place from 22nd to 23rd June in Nuremberg. blc is represented by Christiane Mieth and Christian Eisold who will give a talk on „Methods for Handling Terminology in Machine Translation – Overview and Examples in the SDL Tool Environment“. We are happy to be there and very eager to exchange experience and ideas with ETUG members!
The year has started and so has the conference planning! In the first four months only, we are presenting at the TAUS Roundtable in Vienna, the across LSP day in Cologne and at the Wordbee users meeting during GALA conference in Amsterdam. Are you coming?
