A term is a unit of knowledge generated by a unique combination of features (see also: DIN EN ISO 18104:2014-05). In terminology, a term is represented by one or more namings. A good example of this is the naming “car” and “passenger car”, which represent the term “vehicle”. In a term-based termbase, one entry is created for each term.
